Jared and I have been wanting to frame our wedding vows for months. Pretty much since we got married, really. I tried using Canva (an awesome website!) to make them look nice but wasn’t happy with how they looked, and just never got around to it.
Well, Jared and I realized that if we keep saying ‘oh we need to…’ we aren’t going to do it. So today I put something together and printed it off just at home- nothing too fancy but it’s better than nothing. I really like how it turned out so maybe later I’ll get it printed in color at a professional place. (It’s not color right now just cause we’re out of yellow ink… haha! That’s real life for you.)
I did a quick google search of diy framed wedding vows, because as I said before, I wasn’t happy with what I was coming up with before. This tutorial was the inspiration for what I did today! She used Microsoft Word; I actually did end up using Canva because I was having trouble figuring out how to get my photo to go behind my text. I did basically the same things she suggests though, and as you can see it turned out really nicely.
I took this photo on my iPhone so it’s not the best quality but you get the idea! I think this would be just gorgeous in color, so I plan to get it printed sometime soon. For now though? I am so happy with this.
I really love how it looks… the times I tried to make our vows look nice before, I just wasn’t getting anywhere. Be sure to check out the tutorial I linked above if you want to learn how to do it. Simple and easy but it looks amazing. You can do this with really anything, not just wedding vows.
In other news, the sun is out, the sky is blue, the mandarins on our tree are finally starting to turn orange, and I’m slowly but surely making my way through the paperwork of taxes and preparing to apply for my next visa.
For those of you on spring break right now- I hope that you enjoy it!
